National Night Out 2016

It was a great night on the Dennis Port Village Green for young and old alike. Thousands strolled through the 3 hour event from 4-7 p.m. The kids had a great experience talking with all the police officers that were present and seeing what it is like inside a swat vehicle, police cruiser, police motorcycle and other equipment. The Chief, Peter DiMatteo, and Deputy Chief, Jim Sullivan found a new calling as front line cooks, flipping and cooking hundreds of hamburgers through the event.

A giant Thank you to the Dennis Police Department, Halls XGrill, Dennis Fire Department, Krista K’s, all the vendors and sponsors who provided all the free hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, popcorn, and other stuff for the kids and adults too.

Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys put on a great concert and played until 7:30 p.m. A number of the vendors are hoping that National Night Out will be back in Dennis Port next year. Enjoy the slideshow……
