Crime Watch Meeting Recap

It was standing room only at the Dennis Public Library for the monthly crime watch meeting. It wasn’t crime in Dennis Port that brought everyone out, but officer Ryan Carr brought in the big guns ( no pun intended ). Det. Thomas Downs talked about the drug epidemic, not only in Dennis and the Cape, but Statewide and Nationwide. Det. Sgt. James Sullivan also talked about his Division within the Police Dept. He gave an overview of the responsibilities of the Detectives within the Dept. Lt. Peter Dimatteo spoke about the recent hires of 3 new officers and 3 more coming in June and the positive impact they will have on the Dennis Police Dept. Officer Ryan Carr also tackled a number of issues. It was a very informative night and the speakers also had a great sense of humor.

At the podium is Officer Ryan Carr, to his left is Lt. Peter Dimatteo, Det. Sgt. James Sullivan and Det. Thomas Downs.
