Once again Janet Boudreau and the Dennis Small Business Association have taken on the task of organizing Dennis Days in mid August. A full list of the activities can be found at www.denniscapecod.org. The two big events are the fireworks off of West Dennis beach on Saturday, August 15, 2015. The fireworks can be seen from all of the beaches in Dennis Port. The other big event for young and old is the antique car parade on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at noon time. They start at West Dennis beach and then go along all of Old Wharf Rd. in Dennis Port. Anywhere along Old Wharf Rd. is a great viewing spot for the 125 plus cars in the parade. The following information has been supplied by Janet Boudreau.
The fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2015, with a rain date of August 16th. The Family Night Out has become a big success and every year more and more people have enjoyed the fireworks, the bonfire, and the band. Shuttle buses will be available from the West Dennis Graded School House, on School Street.
The Dennis Small Business Association has agreed to facilitate the fireworks display again this year, as well as the entertainment and bonfire that evening. We will be having the ceremonial burn led by the Amvets who will be heading up the ceremony. The Most Band will be playing from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Once it is dark, the fireworks will be shot off (probably around 9:00 p.m.). All in all, it should be a great, fun evening.
If you would like to contribute to the fireworks this year, please make the check payable to the DSBA and mail to:
