Another sure sign of Spring in Dennis Port, besides the flowers coming up, are the signs in the Village. Both Royal Pizza and South St. Depot are opening much earlier than usual as you can tell from the below photos. Dave Short has been observed painting and sprucing up for his May opening at Wee Packet. The Ocean House has reopened. Sundae School joins a hot of other businesses and restaurants opening on school vacation week, April 16th. Sales at Heritage Sands are red hot with a new ocean front cottage selling for $1,100,000. There will be 4 new businesses opening in April and May on the North side of Rt. 28 downtown. I think both visitors and year round residents will find these new businesses very vibrant and exciting. En-ter-tain at 678 Main St. to the left of BZ’s has some really nice Dennis Port items. Doug still has a lot of stock to come in, but if you are downtown check and see if he is open. I couldn’t leave without buying a few items and I know I’ll be back to buy some more. Phone number is 508-760-7738. Email: email@example.com
We will be posting more info about the new businesses opening downtown as they get closer to their opening. The new restaurant in the strip mall next to Marine Liquors downtown is getting final inspections and should be opening in early April. The interior looks great but the owner is keeping everything top secret. There may be a name change and a different theme to the restaurant. We will share the info when he does….
There are 9 scheduled concerts for the Village Green this summer. There will be a concert every Tuesday and Thursday in July. All concerts start at 6 p.m.
Plans are being formulated for another summer Block Party hosted by the Dennis Port Merchants Association. More info to follow around the end of the first week in April. That’s all for now, have a great Easter weekend !!! Summer and all the chaos that comes with it, is right around the corner.
